Workshop-description:

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to design a transformable garment or accessory using modular, laser-cut elements that can be reassembled in new ways. We’ll start with the basics of modular construction and initial experiments with paper models. You’ll then work with Rhino, a software program, to develop your own module or adapt an existing module of your choice. You’ll use this to prepare the files for laser cutting at a partner workshop.
* For participants who cannot draw on a computer or have difficulty doing so, we’ll provide some templates that you can further edit.

Once the elements are cut from a sustainable, felt-like material, your piece is assembled by hand—without any sewing. The process is playful and experimental; you can reconfigure shapes and volumes again and again.

Basic digital skills are an advantage; a personal laptop is required. A notebook and simple drawing tools are helpful.

After the workshop, you’ll take home a modular garment you designed yourself, along with the knowledge of how to design clothing and accessories that can evolve and transform—and how to turn endless possibilities into artistic creations.

Note: The workshop will be held in English.

Ww would like to thank Mindprint for the cooperation.
