In summer 2024, Adrian Schvarzstein and his workshop troupe caused amazement and many smiles in Pöllau. The versatile performance artist, who has thrilled audiences at international festivals and in this country through his involvement with La Strada and Styriarte, is coming back to the Pöllau Valley Nature Park in summer 2025.
In this workshop, he will introduce the art of theatrical, humorous interaction with the audience on the street. He will convey basic ideas for understanding street theatre and the theatrical backdrops that bring together performers, spectators and the public space. Through practical exercises and character development we will immerse ourselves in this fascinating artistic discipline and on the first two days we will prepare to perform on the street and devise a play. On the third day we will present our performance "Bring Joy to the City" in Pöllau, where all participants will create an intervention in the city using the skills they have just learnt.an interesting experience for all who are open to discovering that the street is ours!
The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as for professional actors who want to gain experience in street theatre.
