Title:   Dry twigs/transparent Birds
Category: Ceramics
Description: Pieces of twigs made of clay, fired and painted
My work is connected to the memory of the apple tree from my grandmother's garden - twigs are metaphorical bodies of it, pale, brittle remnants of life. Each ‘branch’ has its own bird or seed, symbolising the hope of the future apple orchard that will grow; the dry branch is the metaphorical end of the circle and the seed is the new beginning. .
