FR 02.09. 6 pm Art Machine Vernissage; Hauptplatz
We present the nine artists of the new cycle and their works of art, with the Ensemble Tuklar (Notburga Kornberger & Dietmar Hammerl) entering into a musical dialogue with the miniatures presented.
In this year's cycle, these artists have created miniature artworks for the Art Machine in Pöllau:
Helga Chibidziura refers to current events with her textile works.
Roland Maurmair does his gardening in an artistic way.
Nadine Nebel from Graz involves the viewer in her pictures in business card format.
Stefanie Pichler, (children's) book illustrator from Vienna, places small booklets in the Art Machine boxes.
Willy Puchner has prepared his drawings from nature for the refrigerator door.
Carolina Sales Teixeira's Polaroids allude in many ways to the prehistory of the Art Machine and the fleeting nature of the moment.
Barbara Schmid's ceramic alphabet questions the quality of the air we breathe.
Christian Strassegger's box within a box conceals surprising food for thought.
Kurt Straznicky's reverse reliefs search for traces of the non-existent.
A special introduction to each artwork will be provided by the Tuklar ensemble with clarinet and tuba, which will provide a musical commentary on the miniatures with Paul Hindemith.Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to talk to the artists present and the Art Machine team in Cafe Hannes at the Art Machine.
