She, the sun of the day
A project by the Iranian-Styrian painter Marjan Habibian

In this project, Marjan Habibian and students from Pöllau Polytechnic School shed light on attributed, experienced and hidden female characteristics. What role do generosity, giving life, warmth and light play for me, for others and in society? Traditional gender roles are scrutinised and personal role models are presented. Finally, personal experiences and unconscious feelings are expressed using painterly means, so that each work is a reflection of the inner connection with the concept of femininity and light. The resulting works will be presented to the public at the PeopleOthek Pöllau.

Marjan Habibian is an Iranian painter who has lived near Graz since 2013. After attending graphic design college, she studied fine arts and architecture at Azad University in Tehran. Her works have been shown at numerous exhibitions in Austria and abroad. In 2017 & 2019 she created miniatures for the Art Machine in Pöllau.
