Why does this petition exist?
The #kulturlandretten petition calls for concrete measures to preserve the cultural landscape in Styria:
- A transparent and professionally competent new appointment of the Cultural Board of Trustees in order to reduce party political influence and ensure an independent appraisal.
- An increase in the cultural funding budget to compensate for the drastic decline in funding and ensure sustainable structures.
- Implementing the Styrian Cultural Strategy 2030, which was developed in a collective process and adopted by the Styrian parliament in June 2024.
- Saving local cultural providers, which, as an inseparable part of local communities, provide innovation, social and economic impetus and are indispensable for the quality of life in communities and cities.
