The year 2025 marks a special double anniversary: 20 years of Styrian Summer Art and 10 years of Art Machine.
For two decades, Styrian Summer Art has stood for art, inspiration and creative encounters away from urban centres amidst the picturesque landscape of the Pöllau Valley Nature Park. With a wide range of workshops, from painting and sculpture to poetry, applied art, theatre and film, the festival has inspired countless people and led them to new artistic horizons. For the two founders, Michaela Zingerle and Eftichia Schlamadinger, it has always been important to provide high-quality art experiences in the countryside in a welcoming atmosphere. For ten years, the Art Machine on Pöllau's main square has provided the easiest way imaginable to become an art collector. For two coins, the machine offers original art in miniature format by renowned and up-and-coming young artists around the clock. The new series that are added every year and their artists are introduced at a vernissage and presented with a performance.2025 will celebrate this double anniversary with a special programme that focuses on both the tradition and the future of art. It will be a summer full of creative impulses, inspiring encounters and new perspectives - in keeping with the philosophy of Styrian Summer Art: Colours. Shapes.
