44 QM GALERIE for regional art in the city of Hartberg

Abgeschlossen

With the ‘44 QM’ gallery at Sparkassenplatz 4, the city of Hartberg and Styrian Summer Art / Regional are setting an important focus and promoting self-confident, contemporary art by adapting vacant premises in the city of Hartberg and making them available for the presentation of works.

There are no limits to the form of artistic expression: artistic and creative works, video installations, photography, architecture and design can be shown.

All artists with a connection to the ‘Oststeirisches Kernland ’* region or Eastern Styria can submit their work. Whether you were born here, live here or have moved here is not relevant. What is relevant is that you work or have worked as an artist away from urban areas, away from conurbations. Works can be submitted from the fields of: Painting and graphics, sculpture and sculpture, photography, design and new media.

It is important to note that the exhibition space is taken over on the artists' own responsibility and is not a gallery in the conventional sense. It is an opportunity for artists from the region to have a presentation space for just under a month.

A jury of experts evaluates the submissions and decides on acceptance.

* As a so-called EU LEADER region, ‘Das Oststeirische Kernland’ comprises the small regions of Anger, Kulmland, Herzland-Herberstein-Stubenbergsee, Pöllauer Tal Nature Park, the Kaindorf ecoregion and Hartberg. See: www.zeitkultur.at
