Description: Arsenopyrite in synthetic resin The mineral poison arsenic was mined in underground mines, roasted in so-called ‘poison huts’ and thus the highly sought-after arsenic was extracted. The drug, popularly known as ‘Hittrach’, was widely used as a stimulant until the 1950s: ‘De hobn jo koa Motorsagl ghobt, de hobn olls mitn Bluatdruck gmocht.’
